Poroshenko vows to 'free Ukraine from aggressor' within 5 years

KYIV. May 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has vowed to ensure peace and development in Ukraine and resolve the problem of Donbas within the next five years.

"As president, I have an absolutely clear vision as to what to do within the next five years: how to stimulate economic growth, increase living standards, build a competitive economy and attract investments, how to ensure peace in Ukraine, and how to consolidate efforts to liberate Ukrainian soil from the Russian aggressor," Poroshenko said at a meeting of the National Investment Council in Kyiv.

The next presidential election is scheduled for 2019.
