MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - There is a certain degree of unpredictability in U.S. President Donald Trump's policy but Moscow is ready to work with the leader elected by the American people, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the Primakov Readings forum.
A forum participant asked Lavrov to comment on Trump's voluntarist policy. "I have quoted Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin who said that a game without rules was becoming a rule. Of course, this is not an inspiring factor," Lavrov said.
"Yet we are dealing with the leader elected by the people of the world's biggest power. We have to work with Washington no matter how unpredictable it might be. We are open to interaction in a number of areas; this number is not very large but contacts are still being maintained in several areas, and we would like to expand them," Lavrov said.
