MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - The allegations by Kyiv politicians that Russia is involved in the killing of journalist Arkady Babchenko show that Kyiv is not in control of the situation in its own territory, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said.
"The attempt to shift the blame on Russia is not just cynical and wrong; it shows that Ukraine is either not in control of the situation or simply uses it as a pretext for accusations. Both options are bad," Volodin said in response to Interfax's question.
"Certain forces could be behind this incident," Volodin said.
