KYIV. May 31 (Interfax) - The Donbas conflict cannot be settled through Kyiv's capitulation or through a military offensive, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
"I reject the two extreme measures on the path to peace: the jingoistic idea about an adventurist military offensive costing millions of lives, and the other extreme measure, e.g. capitulation," Poroshenko said in the Ivano-Frankivsk region on Thursday.
"We will not give a single sliver of Ukrainian land to anyone. And the majority of the Ukrainian people share this opinion," he said.
