Soyuz-FG launch vehicle lifts off from Baikonur to ISS

BAIKONUR. June 6 (Interfax) - A new expedition has been sent to the International Space Station on board a Russian Soyuz-FG vehicle carrying the Soyuz MS-09 manned spacecraft from launch pad 1 (Gagarin's Start) at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, an Interfax correspondent reported.

The crew is led by Roscosmos Cosmonaut Sergei Prokopiev and includes also NASA Astronaut Serena Aunon-Chancellor and ESA Astronaut Alexander Gerst.

The spacecraft is to dock with the ISS in about two days, using a conventional docking trajectory.
