ROSTOV-ON-DON. June 8 (Interfax) - A militant has been neutralized during a security operation in Nazran in Ingushetia in Russia's North Caucasus.
"Two suspected militants hiding in a private house in the Gamurziyevsky district of Nazran put up armed resistance during a special operation. One of the militants was eliminated in a shootout," an informed source in security services told Interfax on Friday.
A search for the second militant is under way, he said.
The source told Interfax earlier that two militants had been surrounded during a security operation in Nazran on Friday morning.
