U.S.-DPRK summit great contribution to peace process - S. Korean ambassador

MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - South Korea's Ambassador to Russia Woo Yoon-keun said that the summit between the United States and North Korea contributes to the peaceful settlement of the regional situation.

"I think that this meeting is, of course, a big contribution to the peaceful process," Woo told Interfax on Wednesday.

The positive results of the summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un could have an impact not only on the situation on the Korean Peninsula, but also around the world, he said.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in is expected to address the State Duma at its plenary session on June 21. The Duma council has already backed this idea.
