CHEBARKUL, Chelyabinsk region. June 14 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces will hold a strategic exercise next year, Center 2019, the Defense Ministry said.
"I would like to note that next year, the Russian Armed Forces will be holding the Center 2019 exercise," the Armed Forces' head of combat training, Lieut. Gen. Ivan Buvaltsev, said on Thursday.
At Thursday's meeting of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers' coordination committee for field training, Buvaltsev invited CIS defense representatives to attend the strategic maneuvers as observers.
Center will be held in August-September 2019 in the Central Military District, Buvaltsev told reporters.
