MINSK. June 14 (Interfax) - The House of Representatives of the Belarusian National Assembly has ratified an agreement "On sharing information within the CIS in the sphere of combating terrorism and other violent forms of extremism and their financing," an Interfax correspondent has reported.
"The ratification of the agreement will allow setting a clear order for the exchange of information at no charge," Igor Sergeyenko, first deputy chairman of the State Security Committee, told the parliament while presenting the document.
The agreement will enable Belarus "to improve the mechanism of information cooperation within the CIS in the sphere of combating terrorism and extremism," Sergeyenko said.
The State Security Committee, the Interior Ministry, the State Border Committee, and the Security Service of the Belarusian President will be responsible for information exchange.
