UN sec gen, Lavrov to hold negotiations in Moscow next week - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax) - UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres will visit Moscow on June 20 and 21; negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have been planned, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Friday.

"UN Secretary General Mr. Guterres will visit Russia on June 20 and 21 at the invitation of the Russian president. Negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov are planned to take place [...] during the visit," Zakharova said at a press briefing.

In addition, Guterres will meet with Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia and speak at the Valdai International Discussion Club, Zakharova said.

Guterres will watch a match of the FIFA World Cup.

The Director of the UN Information Center in Moscow, Vladimir Kuznetsov, told Interfax on June 13 that Guterres would visit Moscow on June 20 and 21 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the UN presence in Russia.
