LUANDA. June 27 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said he expects Russia and Angola to speed up the approval of security cooperation documents, according to Patrushev's press secretary Yevgeny Anoshin.
"Nikolai Patrushev expects the relevant agencies of both countries to take the outcome of consultations into account in their future activity, and the processing of bilateral documents by Moscow and Luanda to be accelerated," Anoshin said.
Patrushev described the bilateral security consultations held in Luanda as useful for both countries and said he expects them to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation with respect to regional and international stability issues, Anoshin said.
"The Russian Security Council secretary invited his colleague, Angolan State Minister and the head of the Angolan president's security directorate, Pedro Sebastiao, to visit Moscow in 2019 and handed over a draft memorandum of mutual understanding between the Russian Security Council and the Angolan president's security directorate. The document may be signed as early as next year, when our Angolan colleagues visit Russia," he said.
