MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - Russia will develop a super heavy-lift rocket that will be launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, located in Russia's Amur region, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin told reporters.

"It will be a drastically new rocket. A new production unit is effectively being set up in Samara in order to create it because it is a very large-scale project. This rocket will blast off from the Vostochny [Cosmodrome]," Rogozin said.

"We hope that it will conduct its maiden flight as soon as 2027," he said.

"We have the president's instruction, and we will fulfill it," Rogozin said.
