With U.S. pullout of Iran deal, channel for deliveries of dual-purpose goods to Iran should work more efficiently - Russian diplomat

MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - Moscow expects that, with the United States' withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, the channel of deliveries of dual-purpose products to Iran will become more efficient, and there is no need to change the existing procedures of its work, Russian Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mikhail Ulyanov said.

"It appears that there is no need for any amendments to the existing working procedures of the channel for deliveries of nuclear and dual-purpose products to Iran," Ulyanov said in an interview with Interfax.

"All these procedures are set out right in the text of the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program]," he said.

"With the U.S.' withdrawal from this deal, we hope this delivery channel will start working more efficiently," Ulyanov said.
