MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - Russia and Japan have stated positive development of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and called on all parties involved to exercise restraint in order to avoid a disruption of a very fragile process, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow on Tuesday.
"We welcomed positive trends, which have emerged in the situation surrounding the Korean Peninsula," Lavrov said following talks between the Russian and Japanese foreign and defense ministers in the 2+2 format.
"We call on all parties involved to exercise restraint and flexibility in order to avoid disruption of the process, which is still very fragile," the minister said.
