Japan's missile defense system doesn't threaten Russia - defense minister

MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - Japan's missile defense system does not target Russia, Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera said.

"I once again explained to the Russian side that the missile defense system, which we currently have, including Aegis Ashore, does not pose a threat to Russia and is a completely defensive system," Onodera said following a meeting of the Russian and Japanese foreign and defense ministers in Moscow.
