SOCHI. Aug 1 (Interfax) - The return of Syrian refugees to the home country is being politicized, Russian Presidential Representative for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev told Interfax.
"Alas, we can see that the return of refugees is being used for political purposes to show that conditions have yet to be created and that the so-called regime, or actually the legitimate authorities of Syria, is not ready to take in refugees," Lavrentyev said.
"They even say that the regime is waiting for refugees to return to the country in order to start persecuting them," he said.
