NOVO-OGARYOVO. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin has handed over to Russian President Vladimir Putin an album with photographs of the Crimean Bridge taken from a satellite since the beginning of its construction.
"We were taking photographs of the Crimean Bridge since April 2014, how it was built, from the first step," Rogozin said.
"Our Earth remote sensing space vehicles photographed 240 routes monthly; now we have ten space vehicles, and the satellite constellation will already comprise 23 ones in a few years," the Roscosmos head said.
"It is also a very important direction of commercializing space activities," Rogozin said.
"It enables remote observation of the way object change, changes in the landscape, the natural environment, illegal logging, and many other things," he said.
Roscosmos will begin holding presentations of the satellite constellation's new capabilities, which may not only be commercialized, but also actively introduced in the national economy, in federal districts in the coming month, Rogozin said.
