Hotbeds of terrorism in SW Syria fully eliminated - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - Hotbeds of terrorism in southwestern Syria have been completely eliminated, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"The general situation remains tense in this country, but positive trends in its development have been gaining momentum. Hotbeds of terrorism in southwestern Syria have been fully eliminated, control over the border with Jordan has been restored, and the process of normalization in districts freed from terrorists is nearing completion," Zakharova said at a news briefing on Thursday.
