MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - About two million refugees might return to Syria within the next few months, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a news briefing in Moscow on Thursday.
"As part of the policy declared by the Syrian leadership aimed at the return of Syrian refugees, the Syrian government has decided to set up a special coordinating committee led by the local administration and environment minister, who said that more than three million internally displaced persons have returned home," Zakharova said.
"In addition, based on UN information, about 1.89 million refugees might return to Syria within the next few months," she said.
