YEREVAN. Aug 13 (Interfax) - An Armenian appeals court has granted a request from lawyers for ex-president Robert Kocharyan that he be released from custody.
The court based its decision on Kocharyan's immunity as a former head of state, an Interfax correspondent reported.
Kocharyan, who was president from 1998 to 2008, walked free from the courtroom.
