ANKARA. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Terrorists, primarily those from Jabhat al-Nusra (banned in Russia), have recently stepped up aggression in Syria's Idlib governorate, targeting the Syrian army and the Russian Hmeimim Airbase, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"Recently, we have been witnessing quite aggressive actions, primarily staged by Jabhat al-Nusra, including attacks on Syrian forces' positions, dispatching large quantities of drones on a daily basis in order to attack the Russian Hmeimim Airbase, and a large number of other provocative acts," Lavrov said after talks with the Turkish foreign minister on Tuesday.
