New Russian weapon systems comply with all int'l treaties - Kremlin (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Russia's new weapon systems comply with international treaties, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

"As the president has said, the new weapon systems fully comply with the relevant international documents," Peskov said, commenting on the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile missile.

"Russia has never breached its obligations under international law and remains committed to them," he said.

It was reported earlier that the United States wanted to discuss with Russia whether the new Russian weapons, among them the Sarmat, comply with the New START.
