KYIV. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Russian citizens Alexander Sattarov and Farukh Kamalov, who are being held at Kyiv's Lukianivsky detention facility, have written petitions to Russian President Vladimir Putin to help return them to Russia by swapping them for a Ukrainian prisoner, Ukrainian Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisova, who visited them, said.
"During today's monitoring visit to the Lukianivsky detention facility I met with Alexander Sattarov and Farukh Kamalov, who have signed a petition to the Russian president," Denisova wrote on her Facebook page on Tuesday evening.
These letters will be sent to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry in order to bring them to the Russian presidential administration via diplomatic mail, she said.
Russian citizen Alexei Sedikov, who serves his sentence at the Buchanskaya penal colony in the Kyiv Region, had earlier filed the same petition, Denisova said.
