Bogdanov, Lebanese rep discuss Syrian refugees

MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - The formation of a new Lebanese government was a topic of discussion at the meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa Mikhail Bogdanov and Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri's Advisor for Russian Affairs, Georges Chaaban.

"Chaaban provided detailed information about the current situation in Lebanon, including in the context of the efforts made to form a new Lebanese government," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.

The two diplomats discussed the return of Syrian refugees presently in Lebanon to their homeland, the ministry said.
