LUHANSK/DONETSK/KYIV. Aug 17 (Interfax) - The sides in the conflict in eastern Ukraine continue to accuse each other of breaching the "bread truce", which took effect on July 1.
The militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) told Interfax on Friday that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have twice violated the truce in Donbas in the past 24 hours.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces have committed two truce breaches over the past 24 hours, using 120mm and 82mm mortars, RPG, SPG, and AGS grenade launchers, large-caliber weapons, and small arms," it said.
According to the LPR militia, the Ukrainian army attacked militia positions near the populated localities of Frunze and Lohvynove.
"There was no destruction of or damage to civilian infrastructure. We had no civilian or military casualties, either," it said.
The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has recorded four truce violations by the Ukrainian army.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the following districts and populated localities: Yasynuvata, Dokuchayevsk, and Kominternove," a DPR representative at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination told reporters.
In turn, the press center of the headquarters of Kyiv's Joint Forces Operation said that Ukrainian positions in Donbas have come under fire 30 times in the past 24 hours. Grad multiple-launch rocket systems were used on a number of occasions.
There have been no casualties among Ukrainian servicemen, the press center said on its Facebook page.
