MOSCOW. Aug 17 (Interfax) - A film crew of the Russian state TV and radio company VGTRK has come under fire in Donbas, Vesti.ru reported.
"The film crew of Alexander Sladkov, a VGTRK war correspondent, was fired at by Ukrainian forces in Donbas. The journalists were planning to film the effects of other attacks, which have already become regular," it said.
Nobody was injured in the incident, which took place near the village of Staromykhailivka, it said.
Sladkov later confirmed this information to Interfax.
"Everything is fine, everyone is safe and sound, a routine working situation," Sladkov said over the telephone.
The defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) told Interfax that Sladkov's film crew was working at the place where employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross were fired at earlier in the day.
