TBILISI. Aug 17 (Interfax) - There has been no contact with the Panama-flagged Pantelena tanker, whose crew includes 17 Georgian citizens and two Russian citizens, for four days, the Georgian Foreign Ministry told the television channel Imedi.
"Contact with the tanker was interrupted off West Africa, in the area of the Gulf of Guinea. The Georgian Foreign Ministry is in constant contact with the Greek ship owner to clarify all the circumstances," the ministry said.
The ship may have been captured by Somali pirates, the Georgian crewing company Ialkani told Imedi journalists.
