'Normandy Four' might meet in Paris - Ushakov

MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax) - A summit in the "Normandy format" involving Russia, Ukraine, France, and Germany might take place in Paris, yet its time is unknown, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov told the newspaper Izvestia in an interview on Monday.

As to whether Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel have agreed on the "Normandy format" summit between Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany, Ushakov said, "the possibility of such a meeting was discussed."

The sides "agreed that it should be well prepared in order to yield a tangible result. Experts were tasked with continuing preparations for the meeting. No timeframes were set but the possibility of this meeting was conferred on," Ushakov said.

"It is implied to be held in the French capital, Paris," Ushakov said.
