KUBINKA (Moscow region). Aug 21 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and the Central African Republic (CAR) will sign an intergovernmental agreement on military cooperation on the first day of the Army 2018 international military-technical forum, which opens in Kubinka, outside Moscow, on Tuesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"Today we will sign an intergovernmental agreement on military cooperation. Its implementation will help strengthen defense ties," Shoigu said at talks with CAR Minister of National Defense and Reconstruction of the Army Marie-Noelle Koyara.
Russia sees the Central African Republic "as a promising partner on the African continent," Shoigu said.
