MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Finnish President Sauli Niinisto will discuss bilateral cooperation and relevant regional problems during their upcoming negotiations, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"They will continue talking about bilateral trade-economic cooperation," Peskov told journalists.
The two leaders had the opportunity to talk briefly following Putin's negotiations with U.S. President Donald Trump in Helsinki, and they will continue this conversation in Sochi on Wednesday, he said.
The Russian and Finnish presidents will talk about a broader context of relations between Europe and Russia and exchange opinions on relevant regional problems, including Syria and Ukraine, he said.
Finland is among Russia's key trade and economic partners, Peskov said. "We have a great deal of common projects on which we work together. Finnish companies are active investors in the Russian Federation," he said.
