Moscow doubts representatives of U.S., Syrian security services have actually met (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Moscow cannot confirm that a delegation of high-ranking U.S. security officers visited Damascus in June to meet with Syrian colleagues, Mikhail Bogdanov, the Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, said on Wednesday.

"We have no such information. I believe these are fake news reports," Bogdanov told the press in Moscow on Wednesday in response to Interfax's question.

The Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar said earlier citing its source that a delegation of high-ranking U.S. security officers visited Damascus in late June to meet with the chiefs of Syrian security services.
