YAROSLAVL. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Yaroslavl's Zavolzhsky District Court arrested Sardor Ziyabov, an official with Penal Colony No. 8, on Wednesday, the Yaroslavl Region Court's press secretary Natalia Sarbunova told Interfax.
"He was arrested until September 20," she said.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Investigative Committee reported the detention of two Yaroslavl prison workers, Ziyabov and Dmitry Nikitenko, following Novaya Gazeta's and the Public Verdict Foundation's publication of a second video showing beatings of inmates at Penal Colony No. 1 last Thursday.
In the video, prison workers, including people who appear in the first video, line up along the walls, beating inmates who walk past them with their hands and clubs and insulting them.
According to Novaya Gazeta, the video was made around December 2016.
