MOSCOW. Aug 30 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem will discuss at their meeting issues surrounding the start of the intra-Syrian constitutional committee's work in Geneva, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"The sides will focus on the progress made in implementing the decisions of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress, primarily those related to the formation of the intra-Syrian constitutional committee and the start of its work in Geneva with the assistance of UN Special Envoy for Syria Mr. [Staffan] de Mistura. The government of Syria and the Syrian opposition have provided their lists of candidates to be included in it [the committee]," she said at a press briefing on Thursday.
