MOSCOW. Sept 3 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran on September 7 to take part in the third trilateral meeting between the leaders of the guarantor countries of the Astana process for promoting a settlement in Syria, the Kremlin press service said on Monday.
"Negotiations with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will address further joint efforts to ensure durable normalization of the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic. In particular, they mean to discuss a package of extra measures aimed at completely eliminating the international terrorism hotbed, promoting a political settlement process and resolving humanitarian issues, including the provision of preconditions for the repatriation of refugees and internally displaced persons," it said.
Putin also plans to have separate bilateral meetings with the leaders of Iran and Turkey, it said.
