MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan will discuss the situation in Syria at bilateral talks on September 7, the former's aide Yury Ushakov said.
The two will meet on the sidelines of a three way summit between Russia, Turkey and Iran in Tehran, Ushakov told journalists ahead of the summit.
"We maintain very intensive, top-level communications. (...) The [parties] will discuss various issues regarding the bilateral cooperation and, naturally, will hold a deepened discussion of the Syria situation," Ushakov said.
