Moscow dismisses calls to leave Idlib terrorists alone for a time

MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - The suggestions that Idlib terrorists should be left alone for some time are unacceptable, the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"The invocations, which boil down to leaving terrorists, who are holding millions of hostages in Idlib, in peace are unacceptable. There can be no peace with terrorists," Zakharova said in a commentary on the ministry's website.

"The followers of Al-Qaeda [banned in Russia] holed up in the Idlib [de-escalation] area must not be allowed to remain in safety and export terrorism to the region and the whole world," Zakharova said.
