ASTANA. Sept 6 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan will send a peacekeeping company to Lebanon by the end of October; the company will be attached to the Indian contingent of the UN Mission, an officer of the Kazakh Defense Ministry told Interfax on Thursday.
"The company will be deployed by late October consistent with Kazakh laws and UN regulations," the officer said.
The Kazakh parliament approved in summer the attachment of a peacekeeping company (up to 120 men) to the United Nations Support Mission in Lebanon, he said.
