DONETSK. Sept 7 (Interfax) - The Prosecutor General's Office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has called the appointment of Dmitry Trapeznikov as acting DPR head unlawful.
"The death of the DPR Council of Ministers chairman leads to the Council's resignation. Therefore, deputy chairmen of the Council of Ministers, among them Dmitry Trapeznikov, have been relieved of duties since the day DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko, who also chaired the Council of Ministers, died. The only legitimate authority in the Donetsk People's Republic is the People's Council," acting DPR Prosecutor General Andrei Spivak said on Friday in his directive that the violation of law be fixed.
According to the directive, Trapeznikov is not serving as the First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers. "There is no such position in the Council of Ministers. Hence, he cannot be appointed acting DPR head," the prosecutor general said.
