TEHRAN. Sept 7 (Interfax) - A purely military solution to the problem of terrorists in Syria will not guarantee peace in that country, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said.
"We should all bear in mind that merely eliminating terrorists and their military inferiority cannot guarantee future peace and stability in Syria, and not only in that country," Rouhani said at an "Astana-format" summit in Tehran.
"Dear presidents, until now we have made quite a difficult journey towards a Syrian resolution. Now we realize that we are not that close to the end of this crisis," he said.
