UN (New York). Sept 7 (Interfax) - Keeping the current situation in the Syrian province Idlib is unacceptable, Russian permanent envoy to the Un Vasily Nebenzya said on Friday.
"The Nusra people [militants from Jabhat al-Nusra, terrorist organization banned in Russia] want to keep this territory. Therefore, freezing this situation is unacceptable," Nebenzya said at a meeting in the Un Security Council on the situation in Syria's Idlib.
The agreements on the de-escalation zones are temporary, he said.
"The Security Council resolutions state clearly that no ceasefire applies to terrorist organizations. The fight against them should continue," Nebenzya said.
