BAKU. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev says he is pleased with the level of cooperation with NATO.
The Azerbaijani leader received NATO Parliamentary Assembly President Paolo Alli in Baku on Wednesday, the Azerbaijani presidential website said.
"Aliyev pointed out that Azerbaijan's cooperation with NATO is developing successfully. He emphasized the importance of a session of the NATO Economics and Security Committee taking place in Baku in terms of the expansion of this cooperation," the website said.
Azerbaijan and NATO have been cooperating for many years, Azerbaijan is a participant in the Resolute Support mission, the president said.
Aliyev expressed confidence that the delegation's visit to BAKU would contribute to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and NATO, the Milli Majlis (parliament) and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
