MOSCOW/GENEVA. Sept 14 (Interfax) - The Russian embassy to Switzerland said it has no information on the reported detention of two Russian agents suspected of spying on the Swiss lab that analyzed the chemical substances used in Salisbury and Syria.
"We don't have this information and know nothing about the incident that's been reported," an embassy spokesperson told Interfax on Friday.
The article in question was published based on a joint journalistic investigation by the Swiss newspaper Der Tages-Anzeiger and a Dutch one, he said.
"Of course we know about this, we've read this article. This leaves us with a lot of questions, and, frankly speaking, this looks like yet another round of an anti-Russian campaign that's currently being incited," the embassy spokesperson said.
"This [the incident] reportedly happened half a year ago, so why they've written about this now? This invites a lot of questions. Some unnamed sources have been quoted, and everything is very questionable," he said.
