MOSCOW. Sept 14 (Interfax) - India really cannot make some payments under the weapons contracts with Russia because of sanctions, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said.
"Intensive negotiations are taking place. Specific ways are planned, all financial institutions have been ordered to promptly find a solution to this problem," Borisov told reporters.
"I think this issue will be fully resolved by the top-level meeting between our Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the Indian leader in October," he said.
Vedomosti earlier reported, citing its sources, that India has not payments on some weapons contracts with Russia since April 2018.
