Suspect in attack against Zakharchenko admits guilt - source

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax) - The suspect in the attack against Alexander Zakharchenko, the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), has admitted his guilt, a source in the republic's law enforcement structures told Interfax.

"Detainee Alexander Pogorelov admitted that he had participated, in a mixed group of saboteurs, in the preparations for a terrorist attack in the cafe Separ for the purpose of killing the republic's leader Alexander Zakharchenko," the source said.

The man also admitted that he had prepared an attack against Zakharchenko before.

"A testimony has received that Alexander Pogorelov was recruited by SBU and was a Ukrainian special service agent," he said.
