NEW YORK. Sept 17 (Interfax) - Russia has proposed that the UN Security Council's sanctions committee for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) should discuss possible sanctions exemptions for inter-Korean economic projects.
"I propose that the UN SC consider creating special conditions for the 1718 SC Sanctions Committee for the DPRK for applications for temporary sanction exemptions for the implementation of inter-Korean cooperation projects," Nebenzya told the UN Security Council on Monday.
This idea is shared both in Seoul and in Pyongyang, he said.
