Antitrust watchdog's curator of govt defense contracts transferred to Roscosmos

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax) - The deputy head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) in charge of government defense contracts, Maxim Ovchinnikov, has been relieved of his duties and transferred to another job, according to a directive signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and published on the government's website.

Earlier, the newspaper Kommersant cited sources close to the government administration as saying that Ovchinnikov will soon be moved to Roscosmos, where, as Dmitry Rogozin's deputy, he will oversee financial and economic matters and budgeting. A separate source confirmed the pending move to Interfax.

Ovchinnikov was born in 1983. In 2004, he graduated from Astrakhan State University with an economics degree, and in 2006, he completed his postgraduate studies at Moscow State University.
