Russia, Turkey agree on decisions for Idlib settlement - Putin

SOCHI. Sept 17 (Interfax) - Russia and Turkey have agreed on solutions to settle the situation in Syria's Idlib, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Russia and Turkey are closely working on the settlement of the crisis in that country; we are working to reinforce the regime of the cessation of hostilities and improve the humanitarian situation. We focused among other things on the situation in the Idlib governorate, given the presence of large militant groups and their infrastructure there," Putin said following talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday.

"At today's talks, today's consultations, we were able to take serious decisions, make headway in the settlement of this pressing problem, and agree on several decisions," he said.
