Israel failed to warn Russia about pending strike on Syria - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Sept 18 (Interfax-AVN) - Israel did not warn Russia about the pending strike on Syria in due time, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.

"Israel did not warn the command of the Russian contingent in Syria about the planned operation. The notice came via the 'hotline' less than one minute before the strike, and the Russian plane had no time to leave for a safe zone," Konashenkov said.
