ASTANA. Sept 19 (Interfax-AVN) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has reshuffled the Foreign Intelligence Service, the presidential press service said.
"To appoint Gabit Baizhanov presidential assistant and secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan and relieve him of the duties as director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Syrbar," the relevant decree reads.
First Deputy Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Isatai Sartayev has been appointed acting director of the service, and Zhanat Shaimerdenov has become deputy director.
