MOSCOW. Sept 25 (Interfax) - The United States has signed the final protocol certifying Russia's Tupolev Tu-214ON observation plane for operations under the Treaty on Open Skies, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
"An envoy from the United States signed a final protocol certifying Russia's Tu-214ON observation plane equipped with a Russian-made digital camera on the sidelines of [a session of] the Open Skies Consultative Commission in Vienna today, September 24," the head of Russia's National Nuclear Risk Reduction Center, Sergei Ryzhkov, said.
